Young V & A
Young V&A is a free museum in Bethnal Green where children, young people and families can explore the world of creativity through play, imagination and design. Part of the renowned V&A family of museums, it reopened in 2023 following a major transformation and has quickly become one of London's most exciting cultural attractions for families.
Designed with children at its heart, the museum encourages visitors to get hands-on with interactive exhibits, creative activities and inspiring objects from around the world. Three permanent galleries -Imagine, Play and Design - invite visitors to discover how creativity shapes our lives through toys, fashion, architecture, performance, games and everyday objects. Alongside historic treasures from the V&A's collection, you'll find contemporary artworks, immersive installations and opportunities to create and experiment for yourself.
Young V&A also hosts a changing programme of family-friendly exhibitions, workshops, performances and events throughout the year. Whether you're visiting with young children, teenagers or simply have a curiosity for design and creativity, there's always something new to discover. Entry to the museum is free, with some special exhibitions requiring a ticket.
The museum features a welcoming café, an excellent shop stocked with books, toys and gifts, and a range of accessible facilities to help make every visit enjoyable.
